Riverlea Theatre's Stagecraft: Exciting Exam News

StagecraftExamSuccess

For three years, Riverlea Stagecraft has proudly offered Drama Exam classes in Acting and Musical Theatre, with results that continue to impress and inspire. With our commitment to excellence and personalised coaching, students in the programme have consistently reached new heights in their dramatic skills.

These prestigious exams, examined by the world-renowned Trinity College London, offer an international benchmark for achievement in the performing arts. For young performers aiming to build a serious foundation in their craft, these exams provide not only a rigorous assessment but also a globally recognised qualification that opens doors for future artistic endeavours. The curriculum covers a wide range of skills, from character development and stage presence to the subtleties of musical and dramatic expression, making it a robust starting point for those passionate about theatre.

In 2024, for the second year running, every one of our four exam classes—Grades 5 and 8—achieved a Distinction, the highest honour available. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication and talent of our students, who have worked tirelessly to hone their abilities and perform at their best. Stagecraft extends sincere congratulations to these talented individuals for their hard work and determination.

Our tutors, Coryn Knapper (Musical Theatre) and Georgia Pollock (Acting), deserve special recognition for their patience, encouragement, and expert guidance. Since the launch of the Stagecraft exam programme in 2022, they have poured their energy and expertise into each lesson, fostering an environment that encourages creativity, resilience, and professional growth. Their dedication has been a key factor in the success of our students, and we are immensely grateful for their invaluable contribution to our community.

We invite parents and young aspiring performers to consider joining this exceptional programme. If your child dreams of taking their acting or musical theatre skills to the next level, our Exam classes provide a unique opportunity to grow, learn, and gain qualifications that will stand them in good stead in the artistic world. Auditions for the 2025 Acting and Musical Theatre Exam classes will be held soon, and we encourage interested families to reach out.
